Answer First
Chanel sells flap bags under fixed size names, not numbers. The Classic Flap line is Mini, Small, Medium, Jumbo, Maxi. The 2.55 Reissue line uses 224, 225, 226, 227. Chanel 19 and Boy bags use Small, Medium, Large. Wallet on Chain is one size. A size guide for fakes is a measurement chart. Match the numbers below, then check how far a listing sits from them.
Chanel does not publish one canonical chart. Numbers move by season and leather. Treat every figure here as a reference point, not a rule.
Classic Flap Dimensions
- Mini Rectangular: 8.0 x 5.1 x 2.4 in (20.3 x 13 x 6.1 cm)
- Mini Square: 6.7 x 5.1 x 3.1 in (17 x 13 x 8 cm)
- Small: 9.2 x 5.7 x 2.6 in (23.4 x 14.5 x 6.6 cm)
- Medium (M/L): 10.0 x 6.1 x 2.6 in (25.4 x 15.5 x 6.6 cm)
- Jumbo: 11.8 x 8.0 x 3.5 in (30 x 20.3 x 8.9 cm)
- Maxi: 13.0 x 9.0 x 3.9 in (33 x 22.9 x 9.9 cm)
Chain drop on Small, Medium, Jumbo, and Maxi runs about 9 in doubled and 17 in single. Mini Rectangular runs 22 to 23 in single, so it hangs at the hip.
2.55 Reissue Sizes
- 224: 7.9 x 5.5 x 2.8 in
- 225: 9.4 x 6.3 x 3.1 in
- 226: 11.0 x 7.5 x 3.5 in
- 227: 12.2 x 8.2 x 3.7 in
Chanel 19 and Boy Sizes
- 19 Small: 10.1 x 6.3 x 3.5 in
- 19 Medium: 11.8 x 7.9 x 4.1 in
- 19 Large: 13.8 x 9.4 x 4.7 in
- Boy Small: 8.3 x 5.1 x 2.4 in
- Boy Old Medium: 9.8 x 5.9 x 2.5 in
- Boy New Medium: 11.0 x 7.1 x 3.1 in
- Boy Large: 11.8 x 8.3 x 3.5 in
Wallet on Chain
One size: 7.6 x 4.8 x 1.6 in (19.3 x 12.2 x 4 cm). Chain drop 24 in. It holds a phone, cards, and a lipstick. Nothing more.
Where Replica Sizes Drift
Sellers reuse Chanel size names. The measurements behind those names often do not match. Three faults show up in listings:
- Length off by 0.5 to 1.0 in. A Mini Rectangular listed at 7.5 in, a Maxi listed at 12.5 in.
- Chain drop shortened by 1 to 2 in. The bag sits at the ribs, not the hip.
- Depth inflated. The bag stands open on its own when empty.
Ask for one photo of the bag next to a tape measure. A photo next to a hand gives no scale. Ask for weight too. A leather Medium Flap lands near 1.5 lb.
How to Measure a Bag You Own
- Lay the bag flat, front facing up.
- Measure width across the base, seam to seam.
- Measure height at the center, base to top edge.
- Measure depth at the side panel.
- Measure the chain end to end, then doubled.
